The foundational purpose of SRCC is two-fold. First, we help people know who Jesus is and receive him as their Lord and Savior. Secondly, we provide opportunities to aid individuals to grow into maturity in Christ. Both aspects of our mission are centered on Jesus, and cannot be fulfilled without the His work.
OUR VALUES - what guides the decisions we make
BIBLICAL GRACE
Biblical Grace is the transformative presence of God in the life of a believer. By his grace we receive salvation and by his grace we experience life with Him.
BIBLICAL LOVE
Biblical Love is choosing God with all our mind, heart, words, and actions. This love is displayed through a selfless and sacrificial commitment to the well-being of others, because of God’s love for us.
BIBLICAL HOLINESS
Biblical Holiness is being set apart BY God and FOR God. Through Jesus’ sacrifice we are made holy to reflect his purity, goodness, character, and purpose.
BIBLICAL TRUTH
Biblical Truth is found in God’s Word, which makes it the first and final authority. It teaches what God reveals about himself, what he reveals about us, and how we ought to respond.
DISCIPLESHIP JOURNEY - the lifelong practice of living with Jesus
During this stage, people are interested in finding out more about God, who Jesus is, and how the Holy Spirit impacts their life. They also experience the church in action.
Those in this step are committing their lives to Jesus. They choose to follow Jesus, confessing his Lordship, displayed through baptism, and also connect to the church, all because they realize their need for a Savior.
Those in this step have a personal relationship with Jesus. They grow in their faithand trust for Him by engaging in the life of the church through study, prayer, generosity, community, and service.
Those in this final step are walking in maturity with Jesus as the center of their lives. They daily submit to Him, model His example, boldly share the gospel, and lead others to Find and Follow Jesus as they advance the Kingdom of God.
