TRAIL LIFE
WELCOME TO TRAIL LIFE AT SRCC
Trail Life USA is a Church-Based, Christ-Centered, Boy-Focused mentoring and discipleship journey that speaks to the heart of a boy. Established on timeless values derived from the Bible and set in the context of outdoor adventure, boys from Kindergarten through 12th grade are engaged in a Troop setting by male mentors where they are challenged to grow in character, understand their purpose, serve their community, and develop practical leadership skills to carry out the mission for which they were created.
Troop meetings are once a week throughout the school year. Over the summer the older kids in Navigators (6th-8th grade) and Adventurers (9th-12th grade) will continue to meet while the younger groups (K-1st, 2nd-3rd, 4th-5th) will meet once a month.
Over the course of the year there will be campouts, lock-ins, trips to visit service organizations, along with many other opportunities for boys to be boys and enjoy the great outdoors!
SRCC Troop meets on Sundays at 4:30 in the Underground of SRCC. The total cost is $69 per boy - $40 to SRCC at time of registration, $29 to Trail Life while registering on their website. There are numerous ways for men to be involved as leaders for Trail Life and we would love for you to be a part of the troop!
K-1st Patrols known as Fox - 6-9 boys per patrol - as many patrols as needed
2nd-3rd Patrols known as Hawks - 6-9 boys per patrol - as many patrols as needed
4th-5th Patrols known as Mountain Lions - 6-9 boys per patrol - as many patrols as needed
Each of these patrols needs TWO Trail Guides, men willing to lead these young men on a weekly basis.
